So I’ve pretty much sucked this year at doing Halloween manis. Sorry about that. I’ve been super busy and have barely even had time to do my nails every few days. This is one of the few I’ve done though. It’s Color Club Total Mystery, a dark, bright purple tinged blue duochrome shimmer that changes from blue to purple to pink, topped with spider and web images from the Bundle Monster plate BM13 using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes.
So this doesn’t exactly look as green in pictures as it does it real life. It may technically be considered a blue polish but it’s kind of a green-blue so I still say it counts as a green for St.Patty’s Day. The sun is out, it’s in the high 70′s, and it feels like Spring has finally arrived here in So Cal and so a holo just seemed like the perfect polish to wear for the first hot weekend of the year. Beyond The Mistletoe is a clear base filled with light green-tinged-blue holo glitter. This is three coats.
Score for a two buck duochrome!! I don’t own many Pure Ice polishes, but the ones I do own are quite awesome. This is one coat of Pure Ice Busted layered over yesterday’s mani of Color Club Shabby Drab. It’s a purple tinted sheer polish filled with purple-pink fleck duochrome shimmer that turns gold and even slightly green around the edges. It’s easy to see the gold but a bit hard to tell that there’s green duochrome in there unless you look at the bottle. So far, this is the only polish I’ve layered Busted over, because it’s a similar base color, but I bet it would look awesome over other colors as well. Have you tried it over any random colors and gotten a cool outcome? If so, elt me know cause I wanna try!
And also, I’ve been listening to this song literally all day on repeat. I don’t know why I like it so much, but I do.
The person who loves to hate purple polish has found yet another worth swooning over. In the bottle, Color Club Shabby Drap is less than impressive yet on, I don’t know, it’s just so pretty. It’s a medium grey, muted, putty, drab purple creme. I can’t figure out why I love this color so much, Because it reminds me of fall? Because of the putty tone in it? Cause it’s normal yet super weird and different? I have no idea. But this polish, I love. Ok, I still don’t like purple polish. But uhh… I love this. So this is a special purple. One definitely worth owning.
Excuse my absence for the past few days. I’ve been too sick to wake up and get out of bed so clearly painting my nails was out of the question. Here’s what I’ve been wearing for the past 3-4 days… Color Club Jingle Jangle. It’s a clear base loaded with cornflower blue, fuchsia-purple, and a tad bit of silver glitter. The coverage on this one was not as good as the others. With the other polishes in the collection so far I’ve been able to get away with two coats for full coverage and I used three coats of Jingle Jangle here and you can still see my nails. It it’s defense, my nails are not as obvious in real life because of the sparkling that goes on.. it makes it appear much more opaque than it looks in pictures.
On another note, now that I’m back and alive, how was eveyone’s Christmas?! I’d love to hear what you all got!!! I though about doing a post to share what I got for Christmas but thought that might be kind of odd?.. But I’d love if you guys would share what you got in the comments section and if you’re interested I’ll share what I got too
Excuse me while I adjkefjanb;!. Let me start of by saying, these pictures do this polish no justice. Not a single bit. Seriously, this may be my all time favorite polish ever. Like, ever, ever. Seriously. I cannot put into words. My pictures are like, absolute crap compared to what this looks like in real life, trust me. It’s a bright Irish green turquoise jelly fucking packed with hologram glitter that just lights up bright neon Irish green in even the dimmest of lighting. I can’t even. Seriously. You need this. Even if you don’t like green. Eeven if you don’t like glitter. Even if you don’t like holo. You need this. No joke. And not to mention, I got like 47 compliments while wearing this. I’m just saying.
