Rimmel London Grey Matter

We’ve been having some pretty grey weather here in So Cal which has put me in the mood for some matching grey polish. This is Rimmel London Grey Matter. It’s a slightly blue toned medium grey creme. I wasn’t so overwhelmed with it in the bottle but I actually like it a whole lot on. It’s simple yet edgy and chic. I love colors like this. And on top of it, the formula was perfection and this was just two coats!

Rimmel London Dazzle

Holy freakin cow, it was so effing hot here in LA yesterday.. I right about melted away. Was it crazy hot in your neck of the woods? I’m counting down the days (6!!) until i’m out of school.. I can’t wait for spring break when I can go to the beach and just relax. Today while I was burning up in class taking a final I was thinking how nice it would be to lay out by the waves and soak up some rays.. but enough my my day dreaming and rambling on. Since I can’t enjoy the sun and get a lil R&R until I’m done pounding the text books for finals I’ll just have to enjoy some bright warm weather polishes instead. And what better than a polish that reminds me of warm weather than a warm golden glitter?! This is Rimmel London Dazzle and it’s a light, warm metallic gold chock full of light gold glitter. I really like this one a lot, it’s so unique and looks nothing like any other gold glitter I’ve seen. I love how light and warm it is.. it reminds be of sunshine. I think the light gold glitter in the light gold base makes for a really nice combo because even though the metallic base and the glitter are pretty similar in color, the gold glitter is slightly darker and sparkles and shines which makes it standout from the base. Super pretty and definitely very unique if you’re looking for a light gold glitter to add to your collection.
In the words of Charlie Sheen, this polish is a WINNER.

Mardi Gras!

It’s Fat Tuesday, y’all! You know what that means!.. time to eat a bunch of fatty foods and of course celebrate with a Carnival themed mani! Any reason for a themed mani and nail art is a good reason in my opinion and Mardi Gras is no exception. For the traditional purple, green, and gold Mardi Gras color theme I used Sinful I Love You for the purple, Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe for the green, and Rimmel London Dazzle for the gold. I used Erika’s Scotch tape mani idea to create this nail art. She’s amazing at tape nail art in general but her patchwork manis make her queen supreme of tape! Anyways.. I’m no pro at Scotch tape manis since my lines usually turn out messy and uneven rather than crisp and clean but I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out. Yay for Mardi Gras!
Are you doing anything to celebrate?
