I did this mani literally like, two months ago and now I’m finally just getting around to sharing it. I’ve been so busy and caught up with life (plus a big move!) that I really haven’t had time to post at all. I’ve been swatching… just not posting unfortunately. So I have a pile up of pictures that need to be posted and so I’m going to try really hard to get everything up in the next few weeks cause come the end of April (right before/during/a while after my move) I’ll probably be so swamped that I won’t be posting for a few weeks. Soooo… here’s the first of the pile up of pictures taken and not yet shared. For this I used Wet n Wild Blackmail as the base then used OPI What’s Dune?, OPI Significant Other Color, Orly Space Cadet, Pure Ice Heart Breaker, Pure Ice Busted, NYX Aqua Glitter and topped it all off with Northern Lights Holograpic Top Coat.
Again, I’m trying to get caught up on posting and swatches of collections but please bare with me and if I stop posting for a while again, just know that it’s just because of my move and being completely swamped with life. Thanks for hanging in there with me, guys!
So unless you’re new to my blog or don’t visit very often, you’ve probably caught on that I’m a huge self proclaimed Swiftie. And today, October 22 of 2012, is a day I have been looking forward to for months and months… and it’s the most exciting Monday I’ve had in a very long time. Today Taylor released her 4th alum entitled Red and in honor, I shall spam you with red.
Glad so many of you were amused by my post yesterday. My brother told me I was dumb. But I was dying laughing so I made myself post it anyways, hoping some other 90′s souls would find it as funny as I did. So I’m glad it gave you all a good laugh. All nine of you.
And hey!, guess what?! Turns out that Spoiled Did I Dye It Too Blonde is the perfect base layer for a polish that I love, despite it being so sheer, NYX Rainbow Sparkle. I love Rainbow Sparkle but even with like, 4 or 5 coats it’s still super sheer… and I hate that. Sooooo I thought, well, since I already have on a polish with basically the same exact base color, why mot layer Rainbow Sparkle on top?! Why not, indeed. And so I did. This is two coats over 3 layers of DIDITB?. And I must say, it looks much better layered than it does alone. Another perfect summer neon indeed.
Today I’m sharing with you another great polish by Spoiled by Wet n Wild. Did I Dye It Too Blonde? is a neon highlighter yellow jelly that’s just about opaque (opaque enough) in three coats. I have been dying to own a neon highlighter yellow polish for like, two years. Ever since Essie came out with one (I can’t remember the name of it but I do remember that I never ended up finding it for a price I was willing to pay) I’ve been neeeeeeding one. I think Sinful has one that looks similar but from what I’ve heard, it has a terrible formula. Lucky for me, DIDITB? has a pretty good formula. It’s not streaky, not runny, not too thick and it dries with a fairly decent time, which is important when you need three somewhat thick coats. And, I got it on sale… BOGO50%!! These polishes retail for less than two bucks anyways which is cheap. If you need a good highlighter yellow polish (which, trust me, you do) look no further than your local CVS Spoiled display. Can I get a HOOO-RAY!!?
Hey guys! Long time, no post. I’m still pretty sick but since I was gone on vacation all last week I decided I needed to get my ass up and make a post regardless. Today I’m sharing with you a polish from the somewhat new polish line called Spoiled that is mby Wet n Wild. I saw a huge display of these polishes for the first time about 3 months ago at CVS, got really excited and then noticed a lot of them looked like Sinful polish dupes. Oh well I guess. That’s what you get for $2 drug store polish. I did pick up a few Spolied polishes though about a month or so when they went on sale for BOGO50% and this is one of the shades I bought. This is Spoiled Deeper Dive. It’s a bright yet somewhat deep turquoise jelly filled with tons of flake glitter. This polish reminds me a lot of Zoya Charla. I haven’t done a side by side comparison of the two but I think they’re pretty close. Deeper Dive may be a touch bluer (though it does appear more blue in the pictures than it is in rela life). It’s a really pretty polish and perfect for summer. This is two coats.
Remember when these Sally Hansen HD polishes came out about a year ago? Well, they were so amazing that I flipped a switch over them, bought half the collection, and never wore any of them. Until now. Last night I had no idea what to put on. I kept thinking I wanted to wear black but not just normal black.. something layered over black. So while I was looking through my Helmers I came across one of these long forgotten and neglected HD polishes and thought ‘why not?’. So this is Sally Hansen HD Laser (one coat) layered over Wet n Wild Black Creme. It’s a sheer-ish navy blue jelly filled with duochrome fleck glitter that shifts from a bright blue to purple and even slightly gold, pink, and green… though those last three colors arent really visible on the nail, but you can see the multichrome shift in the bottle. It’s a bummer it took me so long to get around to finally wearing this polish but I’m glad I finally did and I got a ton of compliments on this mani too… which is always fun.
I’m alive!!! I’m pretty sure this was the longest break I’ve ever taken away from the blog. That was what?, almost 5 days. I’m sorry about that. It wasn’t on purpose. I’ve been so busy, I’ve barely been home except for sleep (and really that’s a lie anyways cause since the Thursday I’ve only slept at home twice but… that’s not that point), and I think I wore Avon Jade for 4 days straight (and I’m happy to report back that for once I can comment on a polish’s wear and Avon Jade wore fabulously without a chip are barely any tip wear with for day’s wear!). Anyways, I’m rambling. Point is I’m back and apologize for the absence.
On to today’s post. Have you guys seen these new Spoiled polishes at CVS?! I saw them about a month ago and freaked about but didn’t end up buying any because I was at CVS on a mission to get a passport photo and not to get sidetracked with buying hoards of nail polish. Well, last week these babies were on sale at CVS for 2 for $3 (regular retail is $1.99 each) and so I stocked up and this was one of the polishes I picked up. It’s Spoiled by CVS I’m so Jaded. It’s a bright lime green with lots of bright yellow shimmer as well as a bit or orange and rainbow micro shimmer. I had doubts about the application of these polishes but this one applied perfectly in two coats. Also note worthy, I wouldn’t really classify this as a neon but when I held my hand under a black light my nails glowed like they do with neon polish so there is at least some neon pigment in I’m So Jaded. Cool story bro, right?
