Never Forget
It’s hard to believe that 10 years have gone by since the September 11th attacks. I still remember that morning when my mom woke me up much earlier than usual, to bring me to the living room television. It was still dark out, I was half asleep and there I stood watching the World Trade Center’s North Tower burn. I remember watching as the second plane fly into the South Tower and then as both towers later collapsed. I was 13. I did not personally know any of the victims of the 9.11 attacks but my heart still aches for those who did, those who died, as well as their families and loved ones. It was a sad and tragic day and one that will never be forgotten. My manicure today is one that is dedicated in remembrance to those who lost theirs lives on that beautiful, turned tragic day in September 10 years ago today, as well as the fire fighters, police men, first responders, helpers, volunteers, victims, and to the brave souls on Flight 93 who attempted to take control of the plane and stop the hijackers from reaching their destination in Washington D.C.. The four stars are in representation of the four planned terrorist attacks that took place that morning: the World Trade Center Towers I & II, The Pentagon, and Flight 93 which crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania. You are not forgotten.
