Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac

I wanted this polish for a very long time and then one day I saw a friend of mine at work wearing it and I freaked out. She could tell I really liked it so she gave it to me. Lucky me! I’ve been meaning to wear it and keep getting drawn into wearing other polishes so I figure with the warmer weather around (at least here in So Cal), I should wear a Spring-esque mani. This is Lacy Lilac topped with Bundle Monster flower stamp using a no-named Hot Topic polish on all nails except the accent ring finger I used Orly Fancy Fuchsia. I quite like it! =]

Orly Fancy Fuchsia & OPI I Lily Love You

First things first. As you may have noticed, the blog has been on hiatus the past two weeks. I apologize about that. As you may have also noticed, it was shut down because of a Malware warning. I am sorry about that as well. Mostly sorry to those of you who are also bloggers and your blogs were affected by mine. Now, I’ve had this happen before about 6 months ago when my entire laptop was hacked and it ruined everything on my computer including things in which my passwords and information were saved through my web browser: ie my blog since my password was saved and my credit cards because my account information was saved (the latter sucked even worse). In that situation, I knew exactly why the blog became infected and because of that virus, that laptop was so shot to hell that I bought a replacement laptop and the old one has been shoved beneath my bed, never to see the light of day again. This time around, I had not a clue as to why the blog got infected. I still have no clue. I feel like this thing keeps coming back to haunt me. Must be some sort of punishment for not eating my vegetable as a kid. And since I didn’t know how or where I got the virus and where exactly it was infecting my blog, it was really hard to fix. And it must be noted that I’m without a doubt completely shitty at all things html and the technicalities behind running a blog. For this reason my older, computer savvy brother helps out a lot with the behind the scene work. Unfortunately, he was also unable to figure out what was going on and how to fix this. And so now, the virus is fixed and will hopefully never show it’s ugly face around here again. My hope is that none of you are still being affected by the virus and if you are, please let me know. But please, do it in a nice way. I appreciate those of you who sent me kind letter and emails about the issue. And to the ones who sent me hate and rant mail about how I’m destroying everything for everyone else, go fuck yourself. It’s not like I did this on purpose. I understand it was a headache for everyone affected but it all weighed down on my shoulders, affecting me the most. So again, I’m so sorry and hopefully this issue will never have to be dealt with again.
And on to the real post. This is Orly Fancy Fuchsia topped with two layers of OPI I Lily Love You on the ring finger as an accent. Even after two weeks of not posting, I still find myself in a bit of a rut with what to wear so I’m back to trying to wear my old polishes in a new way with layering polishes and nail art. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share. =]

Pure Ice Jamaica Me Crazy

Pure Ice Jamaica Me Crazy! I love the name first off. And second off, I think this is one of two purple polishes I have that really remind me of summer. It seems like I don’t own any purples that aren’t dark, grayed out or just fall/winter colors in general. I always feel like I struggle to find good purple polishes to wear in the summer but Jamaica Me Crazy has renewed my faith in purple being a summer color. It’s a bright purple-fuchsia with blue shimmer that’s opaque in three coats. I really like this. It reminds me of a less neon, less blue-shimmery version of Color Club Ultra Violet. Perfect for summer! Woo!!

Zoya Beach Collection Summer 2012

Shelby. Ooooh! This one is really pretty! It’s a light yet bright, slightly fuchsia and blue toned pink creme. I like the name a lot. I can imagine wearing this polish as a pedi color all summer long, walking along the beach with the sand in my toes. If only that beach were in Australia, since that’s what the name Shelby makes me think of. This was three coats but if I had used thicker coats I may have been able to get away with just two.

Arizona. A light orange creme. This makes it seem more like a bright or medium orange creme but it’s not. It’s not a pastel either… it just has more light yellow in it I would say. It’s softer and lighter than the pictures show though. I quite like this one. This is two coats.

Lara. A medium pink creme. It’s sort of muted yet bright at the same time. Really pretty for Spring! This was two coats.

Tracie. The only non creme polish in the collection. It’s a somewhat muted avocado-y green filled with tiny silver pearl-like shimmer that isn’t too sparkly. It’s an odd color to describe. It’s definitely unique. This was two coats.

Wednesday. My favorite color and favorite name of the entire collection! So the original Wednesday is the little girl from The Adams Family but Bridgete Marquardt who was Hef’s old girlfriend on the show The Girls Next Door (a show which I used to be unhealthily obsessed with) had the cutest little black puppy who she named Wednesday and that’s who this polish makes me think of. Wednesday is a muted green-turquoise-blue creme. This so reminds me of the beach. I absolutely love this polish, If you get one polish from the collection, this should be it. I know there’s a lot of similar blue-turquoise cremes out there, but this one is special. It’s so pretty. This was two coats.

Reagan. It’s more purple in real life. It’s a cool toned medium fuchsia-purple creme. Also nice for Springtime. This was two coats.

Nicole by OPI Spring 2012 Wal*Mart Exclusives
This Spring, Nicole by OPI is launching three new polishes that are exclusive to Wal*Mart. Let’s have a look.

Fabulous Is My Middle Name. A clear base loaded with small silver square glitter and large fuchsia, red, navy blue, and light gold bar glitter. People either love or hate bar glitter. Lucky for me, I love it so this polish is an absolute winner. I love all the colors in this polish and that it’s so fun and loaded with tons and tons of bar glitter. And the best part? This is two coats. Two freakin coats! You don’t even need to layer it over anything which is really rare for these types of glitters. It’s got awesome coverage, perfect formula, it’s super colorful, pretty and unique. If yo like glitter, or bar glitter specifically, you need this polish.

The Gold Shoulder. First things first. This polish is clearly not gold. It’s silver. But want to see something weird?

This is how the polish looked when I first got it. It was completely separated and I had to give it a good shake to get all the particles mixed up. There’s gold in the polish, obviously since you can see all the gold particles that have sunk, but the overall look of the polish is a light silver foil. If you click to enlarge the pictures you can see that there’s antique gold foil glitter particles dispersed through the silver but otherwise, the gold really isn’t so obvious and it looks like a plain ol’ light silver foil polish. It’s pretty… it’s just not all that unique. This was two coats.

Best Pink Ever. Well, I don’t know if I’d agree with that. It is a really pretty pink, but the best ever? I don’t think so. It was pretty sheer to start out but with three coats I got almost full opaqueness. How the polish looks on my pinkie finger in the first picture is the most color and finish accurate. It’s a sheer fuchsia pink loaded with iridescent pink, purple, and blue fleck shimmer. At the bottom of the bottle you can see some antique orange-gold shimmer. I’m not sure if the fleck shimmer that appears on the nail is really duochrome (and shifts to this gold color) shimmer that just doesn’t show up on the nail or if there really is just orange-gold shimmer that’s not duochome at all and it’s just heavy and has sunk and/or is stuck to the bottom of the bottle. It’s a bit boggling. Either way, this polish is pretty nice despite the watery formula.
All three polishes are available starting this month at Wal*Mart.

Nicole by OPI Kardashain Kolors Spring 2012
This Spring, seven new polishes are being added to the Kardashion Kolor. If you could just ignore the fact that some of these pictures were taken in the sun and other in the shade, that would be great. The weather was playing tricks on me and not being very helpful.

Paparazzi Don’t Preach. A peach creme. It’s more of a nude type peach rather than an orange-y obvious peach. It’s very subtle and pretty. I feel like I see the Kardashians (specifically Kourtney) wearing peach quite a lot so this polish is the one polish that I feel like is the most Kardashian-esque. Sweet. Feminine. Classy. This has Kardashain all over it. As a side note, I photographed this when the sun was behind the clouds.. it does warm up a bit in the sun. This was two coats.

Ladies In The Limelight. I don’t know if I’d necessarily call this a lime color. It’s more of a light-medium yellow with the slightest hint of lime. This is two coats.

One Big Happy Fame-ily. This name is totally them. Ha. It’s a light yet vibrant lilac filled with lots of small irregular sized and shaped silver fleck glitter. This is perfect for Spring. It reminds me of the lilac trees in Chicago. This was three coats.

Strike A Pose. A bright coral orange creme. Remember about two years ago when everyone was all into wearing Bahama style clothing and everything had starfish or coral on it? No, just me? This was one of the huge colors used with that style. It was like, this bright orange coral, off white, tan, and turquoise. I remember seeing those colors together all the time making up various outfits plastered all over every single fashion magazine two Spring/Summers ago. If you don’t remember what I’m talking about, just pretend you do to make me feel better. This was two coats.

Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright. A medium pink-fuchsia pink creme. Not too unique but it’s not for Spring and has a good formula. This is two coats.

Smile For The Glam-era. A dark eggplant purple with small irregular sized and shaped fuchsia fleck glitter and and sparse and scattered small gold fleck glitter. It’s not exactly what I think of when I think of Spring but it’s nice and unique. This is two coats.

Back To Reality… TV. A light-medium purple creme filled with hot pink-fuchsia shimmer. I think this is my favorite of the collection. It’s beyond perfect for spring. You’re heard me say it a million times and I’ll say it again: purple is probably my least favorite polish color. There’s so many purples out there that are just boring and blah. This one isn’t It’s probably my favorite shade of purple for a polish and the pink glitter just makes it that much more special. If you’re going to buy one polish from this collection, my suggestion is let it be this one. This was two coats and had perfect application.

Nicole by OPI 2011 Holiday Glitter Collection

Glitter In My Stocking is a clear base filled with super fine yellow-gold glitter with a bit of fine red micro glitter as an accent. I really love wearing gold polish during the holiday season and this one is way different than any other gold I own so it may be my favorite of the collection. This was three coats.

Snow-Man Of My Dreams is a clear base filled with… many different colors and sizes of glitters. Mostly it’s light blue and some silver micro glitter but it’s also got slightly larger, yet still small, glitter in various colors of red, pink, purple, silver, yellow. green silver. The dominant color of this polish though is light blue. It reminds me a lot of OPI Simmer & Shimmer from last holiday’s Burlesque Collection. This polish was the most sheer of the collection and is shown here with four coats.

My Sleigh’s In The Shop is a clear base filled with bright fuchsia, purple and a bit of gold micro glitter. I love fuchsia so this one is a winner in my book. This was three coats.

Orna-Ment For Each Other is a clear base filled with bright red micro glitter and a tad of bright yellow-gold micro glitter as an accent. This on is basically the opposite of Glitter In My Stocking. Again, it’s very different from any other red I own cause of the gold glitter. I quite like it. This was three coats.
Have you picked up any of these polishes or the entire collection yet? Which are your favorites?
