Milani Dress Maker. Remember when everyone went 10 sorts of crazy over this polish when it was first released? Those were fun days. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle before they were extinct from shelves for the rest of forever. Supposedly a dupe for Chanel Jade (though I can’t vouch for this myself since I don’t own Jade), Dress Maker is a jade-mint green with subtle mint green shimmer. This was three coats. I own about 12 or 13 mint greens but this is definitely one of my favorites. And now that I’m thinking about it, I think it’s the only mint green I own that has shimmer in it… I believe the rest of them are all cremes, making this polish really unique.
Remember not so long ago when mint green polish was all the rave? Well Illamasqua MILF was out way before the trend hit, but as soon as the mint green trend exploded around Winter of 2009, I started lemming MILF real hard.. not only for the ,but for the name. You can’t deny it, MILF is one of the all time coolest nail polish names ever. One of the coolest polish colors as well. I originally expected a really minty mint green. MILF is somewhat mint green yes, but I would classify it more as a light pistachio green creme instead. Since there’s not many pistachio greens out there, MILF is unique enough to stand out amongst the others that are similar in color, but still close enough to “mint green” that it can be thrown in that category and fill a need for mint. This is one of my favorite green polishes ever. So fun yet sophisticated. :0)
