Okay so I realize I have sucked and failed at posting the past few days but I have a really good excuse, I promise!! Friday I had work from 5 in the morning until i:30 in the afternoon. I was beat so I went home and napped until my friend picked me up to go to a rodeo. I got piss drunk and didn’t get home until after midnight which was too late to paint my nails. Not to mention, I wasn’t even of the right mind to paint my nails… if you know what I mean. One too many Margaritas. Or whatever it was that I was drinking. Then Saturday I woke up really early and spent the whole day at Sea World watching animal shows, getting soaked on rides, and burning my skin to a tone of red much brighter than one I ever hope to attain again. Then I went home, took a much needed shower and headed to a friend’s birthday part in downtown. By the time it was 11 pm, I had not yet packed for Vegas, washed my face or prepared for the next day’s adventures so by the time it hit 1 am I figured painting my nails was out of the question and that my slightly chipped nails would have to do. So I got me 2 1/2 hours of sleep before waking up at 3:30 am to drive my friend and myself to Vegas. Then I spent all day in line waiting to get into the Billboard Music Awards which was by far worth in considering not only the show was amazing but I got to talk to Taylor Swift. And let me tell you, I freaked the fuck out. I lost it completely. She walked two feet in front of me and like a person verging on clinically insane, I screamed at the top of my lungs “Taylor, I love you!!” and she turned around and said to me “Awwwe, thank you!”. Yeah. There are no words. And then after the show I went to the after party and later attempted to drive home but decided I was too tired so slept in the car in a parking lot and got home yesterday afternoon? Sick of my story yet? Cool, stop reading. I’m rambling anyways. I realize this. But for those of you who care (and thank you) I slept all day yesterday instead of painting my nails and today I had work all day and watched the American Idol and Glee season finales so if you’re wondering why it’s taken me so long to post, that’s why. And in case you’re wondering.. yes I am still wearing this polish, incredibly chipped, and have been wearing it since Thursday night.

About to vomit because of the horrendously long story that you didn’t even read?? I thought so. So here’s the polish I’ve been wearing since the last post.

This is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Golden Tourmaline. It’s a red holo. The holo particles in this are small and linear. It’s not as obviously holo as the Nfu Oh holos or the Milani holos but it’s still very noticeable and I considering it;s the only true red holo I own, I have a dear place in my heart for it. Plus I paid 50 cents for it at Dollar Tree which helps me love it even more.

    Red just does not produce a good holo = I have looked at this on 2nd market sites but not popped by buy it yet – mostly I think because I am sad I did not notice them when they were in the drugstores. Glad to know you feel this is a true holo.

    Dori- how in the world did you get tickets for audience @ Billboard Awards? I had about 5 things I wanted to watch Sunday night on TV and got soooo engrossed into PBS I never even flipped back to see what was what at BBA show – hear the complaints over it having a ton of lipsynicing vs. live performance.

    Oh and no – not ready to vomit – just living vicariously through your days. I can only say I watched the same 2 TV shows tonight – believe it or not – first time I ever saw Glee all the way through! Made me a bit nostalgic for my HS grad class. Fortunately I worked hard with one other person in early 2000′s to find them all via snail mail and Internet as well as some of the ‘kids’ working hard to give us good leads on where so and so’s cousin was – right down to doing cold calls out of the area phone book that another person sent me, calling like last names! Anyhow, it all paid off and glad we did it when we did as now folks have such tight grip about their on line ‘real name’ ID (which I am sure is a good thing). Now I need to take the trash out and TRY to think of sleep despite I am not sleepy at all. Hate that part. Maybe will walk around the block to get good and cold – then I will want to sleep.
